France, through the French Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (SFPT) and with a strong support of CNES and IGN, has bidded to host the XXIIIrd congress in 2016 in Paris. The candidate for congress director is Nicolas Paparoditis who is the president of ISPRS Commission III and vice-president of SFPT. The bid committee is chaired by Alain Baudoin (former ISPRS Commission I president) and gathers members of SFPT, IGN, CNES and Colloquium.
